T-TEAM have been making all the right moves on their comeback trail to the Super League ahead of a crucial home battle against league leaders Kelantan tomorrow.
The appointment of President's Cup coach Yusof Ali as the defence coach for the first team early last month paid dividends when T-Team managed to keep clean sheets in their last two matches.
They drew 0-0 with Perak in Kuala Terengganu before the international break and then beat Sabah 3-0, also at home, on Saturday.
Head coach Yunus Alif said the "spiritual retreat" at Kenyir Lake during the break had been successful in bringing the players closer together.
"The religious activities and heart-to-heart talks during the three-day retreat had cleared the air on quite a number of issues and provided us with renewed inner strength to keep on fighting.
"We saw the results when Haris Safwan Mohd Kamal was on the scoresheet again and Norfarhan Mohamad scoring for the first time," said Yunus after the match against Sabah.
But Yunus said all the speculation about his future with the team will only end with a victory over neighbours Kelantan who had earlier dumped T-Team from the FA Cup first round.
"After our poor start this season, I can't blame the people who want to see me leave but all I can say is that I have faith in my team and I believe the worst is over," he said. -- ZAINUDDIN MUHAMMAD
