AS fans spare a thought for banned Kelantan FA president Tan Sri Annuar Musa, they want to spare 10 sen each for the former sports minister.
Kelantan fans plan to raise RM2,014 for Annuar Musa's FAM disciplinary committee hearing cost.
They will pass a collection box around when Kelantan play T-Team in a Super League match at Sultan Mohamad (IV) Stadium today.
Kota Baru Red Warriors Supporters Club president Mohd Zainy Mohd Zain said: "We know that he (Annuar) does not need our money but this is our way of saying we are 100 per cent behind him, no matter what.
"All Kelantan fan clubs in and out of the state have agreed to chip in as this is the best way to show that our beloved president is not in this thing alone," he said.
Zainy said the 10 sen donation is a symbolic gesture in support of the FAM deputy president who was suspended for 30 months by FAM for criticising the national team.
"More than 20,000 supporters will have to give 10 sen each to come up with the total amount and we want to show that we have that many supporters behind our president and our team," he said.
Kelantan FA secretary Azman Ibrahim said: "The spirit of camaraderie among the fans is rubbing off on our players who have shown great character during the hectic schedules over the past month.
"The players are drained physically from playing three matches a week but they are still mentally strong to keep on winning matches," he said.
Azman said the Kelantan team are luckier than Terengganu who are being taken to task by unhappy supporters.
Kelantan coach Bojan Hodak said it was difficult for him to rotate the players when playing three matches on a weekly basis.
